FAQ

This page will be updated every now and them, whenever more questions are asked.

01

Will we really get funding?

Yes, indeed, you will. But don't forget, that you will have to tell us in advance what you need it for, and return receipts for your purchases and any unspent money to us. Also, receiving funding is depending on whether you can convince us of the feasibility of your project. We might also ask you to reconsider certain items on your wishlist, depending on the amount of funds available to us.

02

Are there any limits to our reasearch?

Well, in theory, no. But there is always a 'but'. Your research will be limited by the facilities you will be allowed to access, the materials you can afford from the funding that is allocated to you (or that you are willing to contribute yourself), potentially your qualification, your insurance, ethical and moral considerations, etc... If you can dodge all this and convince everyone that it is a good and affordable idea to build an antimatter propulsion system, please don't hesitate.

03

Will my idea stay my idea?

Our constitution states that your idea will stay your idea. If there are any spin offs, we will not be in your way, but in fact, will even encourage you to do so. The only thing we ask of you is that you don't forget where it came from, and make sure that you mention it in your acknowledgements.

04

How do I sign up?

Either contact us by email/facebook and arrange a meeting, or just come along to one of our events and have a chat. The membership fee is currently ₤5.

05

What is the limit of my funding?

It's hard to put a number on this. It largely depends on how much funding we have at our disposal and how much other groups ask for. In general we encourage you to ask for whatever it takes, but to compare the price of products from different providers. This will also play a role in assessing your proposal.
